The modified Privacy Policy would be effective from the date of modification that is posted. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

From an organization that registers to use the app, on your behalf. The organization may provide us with limited personal information, such as your name, official email address, and designated role. This information is used solely for the purpose of provisioning your account, assigning appropriate access rights, and enabling secure authentication in accordance with your organization's administrative protocols.

How Does Board Assist Use Your Personal Data?

Does Board Assist Share Your Information with Third Parties?

Board Assist does not extend the usage of personal and sensitive user data for serving adverts. We also do not exchange or transfer your personal and sensitive data to a third party for monetary consideration. We may share information only in the following limited situations:

Mergers and Acquisitions

We only share information to your organization's administrators to manage access and user activity and also with trusted third-party service providers, such as cloud storage providers or authentication partners, who process data on our behalf under strict data protection agreements.

How Secured Is Your Personal Data?

Please note that neither Board Assist nor any of its employees would have access to the multi-factor authentication (MFA) that relates to your User account on the mobile application. Additionally, we do not have access to board related documents uploaded by your organization's administrators.

Your Responsibility

You shall be solely responsible for protecting your login credentials to the application, and Board Assist shall not be liable in any manner for unauthorized use of your login credentials. You shall be liable to V&A Board Assist or any loss suffered by Board Assist as a result of an unauthorized use of your login credentials.

Despite our safeguards, no system is fully immune from threats. Users are encouraged to maintain secure passwords and follow IT security best practices.

Duties of Board Assist Under Applicable Law

Board Assist acknowledges and firmly commits to adhering to the principles and regulations outlined in the Data Protection Act, 2012 (ACT 843). We recognize the significance of safeguarding the privacy and security of our customers' sensitive data, both during the account creation process and while utilizing our app.

This is also known as a "data subject access request". You have the right to receive a copy of the information we hold about you and to check that we are lawfully processing it.

The Right to Rectification

You are entitled to have any incomplete or inaccurate information we hold about you corrected, though in some cases, we need to verify the accuracy of the new information you provide to us.

The Right to Erasure

This is also known as "the right to be forgotten" which enables you to request the deletion or removal of certain of the information that we hold about you where there is no good reason for us continuing to process it. This right is not absolute.

The Right to Withdraw Consent

Where we rely on consent to use your information, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing consent will not, however, make unlawful our use of your information before you withdraw your consent. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide certain services to you.

Miscellaneous Provisions

Force Majeure

Board Assist shall not be responsible for any cessation, interruption, or delay in the performance of its obligations hereunder due to earthquake, flood, fire, storm, natural disaster, act of God, war, terrorism, armed conflict, labor strike, lockout, or boycott. Board Assist may at any time, in its sole discretion and without advance notice to you, cease operation of the mobile application.

No Waiver

A delay or failure by Board Assist to exercise or enforce any right or provision of this Privacy Policy will not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

All notices given to a User by V&A Board Assist or by a User to Board Assist or another User shall be in writing and in the English language. Such notice shall be sent by e-mail or mailed by a prepaid internationally-recognized courier service to the intended recipient at the address set out below, or any changed address that is notified by either Party:
